more craziness [+emo-ness]

Canon Photomarathon yesterday.
4 themes. 12 hours. 4 photographs. Much madness.
The "support group" [à la Lynette]: Lynette the Emo, Jh the Voyeur, Jx the Uninspired. We, who do not own dSLRs, fought valiantly with our less-than-8Megapixel cameras. Haha. But some of those people were just plain arrogant and @#$%. lalala~ The organisation was slightly wonky too. Bleah. By the time the third theme of the day was revealed I was quite dead. And feeling more than slightly bored. Haha. The hazy weather and humidity didn't help either. Hmph. Out of the 60+ photos I took only <5 were satisfactory hahaha XD Oh well, one foot-destroying experience down. =]

The photos are pretty much self-explanatory. I'm too sleepy to elaborate much anyway. Bleah.

cRaziness :: jh is SeXy!!

appetiser:
goth chilli->
my mother's funky Blackchilli-producing plant... very cool! the flowers were dark purple [instead of the usual white]! sexiness.

a broken heart.
one day i found this pretty heart-shaped bead on my keychain in 2 pieces... and i have no idea how it happened. sigh.

it's been a crazy crazy week-or-so.. so far.
last friday - went for Guofang+Stanley's wedding dinner at Orchid Country Club at Yishun. exciting. haha... Guofang so pretty! the food was good! our table was hilarious! but the haze wasn't. sigh. weddings are so exciting. but so tiring. haha...

saturday - super HAZY day. the entire city disappeared. stinky. was chauffeured around by jh for a large part of the day. =P tagged along to jh's friend's bday-party-in-the-haze at pasir ris park. the haze made everything look surreal. haha.

hmmm my hair looks interesting in the photo... er.

....

then we went for MAF @ HC. it's become a yearly tradition. =]
so-so-looking decorations this year... =|
so we decided to spice things up =P
hahaha

sunday - Bangkok Symphony Orchestra's Free Concert at VCH with vic and jh. they played the Royal Compositions... they're mostly quite -harmonious- and nice... and some were rather amusing... the King of Siam is a cheongster!

monday - watched film français with jh. it be nice film. quite amusing at times. it also be very nice to be youngest 2 people in an audience of mostly french people. wheee~ shld do this more often.

tuesday - tuition with vic's sister sarah. O level chem. little jonathan amuses me to no end. hilarity. he's just so cute and amusing and CUTE.

wednesday - stupid HRM test which i studied for only on the train on the way to school. pah. -tuition- with mellie and mervyn. A level chem. realised that it is easier to explain O level chem. haha. RJ and HC questions are as fun as ever.

yesterday - somehow ended up gg to MOS with jh.. two very unlikely [and totally bad] clubbers feeling lost in the crowd and noise and smoke.. haha refer to jh's blog for the really blur photos and the bacardi story. it was fun sitting on the -pedestal- of Dali's sculptures at 1+AM though. haha... but not so fun when everything smells like 10,000 cigarettes.

today -
imagine waking up next to this blast of cuteness:
the bliss!
time to stop wearing specs dearie. =P

have another one:
simply irresistable... haha.

and did cell bio presentation slides with pon-lynette and aminah at aminah's house. the paper we have to present is so idiotic. sigh. took us 6 hours to come up with like 10+ slides. pah. aminah kept feeding us. hahaha. think i ate non-stop for a few hours. haha i is surely gaining weight.

oh. it's friday the thirteenth. like ?!?!?!?!! what's the big deal.
wonder what madness tmr will bring.
*conks out*

sEveN

a magic number, full of
mystery and intrigue and pull.
a prime in its prime out of
a poem that does not rhyme, it
remains unsullied, unfazed, though
it'd much rather be pottery glazed.
the star of the numerical whirl, where
thought and speculatives unfurl,
it prefers being a scribble without
the stroke across its middle.
...

-

i remember many people writing in my "autograph book" that their favourite number is 7. that was waaay back in primary school. but i think it's true that many many people like the number 7. i've asked many people since then and 7 occurs at quite a high frequency, and it's somewhat correlated to gender, specifically the female gender. [i prefer 4 but that's another story] well... i guess 7 is quite an interesting number. i have no idea why so many people like it, but to me 7 is interesting because it's involved in certain protein secondary structures, it gives rise to the 4th Mersenne Prime number [which, incidently, is 127], it's "sept" in french but somehow september/septembre is the 9th month of the year... oh well.

-

the 44th Mersenne Prime has been found! haha so recently some more. exciting. it comprises some 9 million digits... wheee... *loves Mersenne Primes*

ok enough fan-girling.
time to sleep. =P

i remember

[with kind permission from jh]

eating the flowers on birthday cakes and butter-cream cakes [and much later the same type of edible flowers from restaurant dish-decorations]
going to sembawang beach on weekends
the benches made from white stone cubes with a blue dot on each side at sembawang beach; i'd always thought they looked like weird dice
going to genting during school holidays with my mother's coffeeshop-friends and their kids
the auntie from the fishball mee stall in primary school; she always gave me extra chilli and lots of soup =]
getting a silver medal for 200m during sports day in primary 5
the day i learnt how to pronounce "Enid Blyton"
how it feels to get first in class for something/everything haha
having really long hair
my first piano lesson
having really short hair
the area behind the music room and LT 5
sleeping during math lessons
feeling disgruntled the GEPs didn't want me
chocolate crêpes with chocolate ice-cream at heeren [no more already]
"planting" green beans
the night my favourite little cup with a little girl painted on it was broken

-
The Bottle Tree Village got nice seabreeze one.
-

i so want to go to sembawang beach again! after... 18 years?! something like that. wants wants wants... i stole the following photos from somewhere... they were taken in 2004? if i'm not wrong. the photos show that the place still looks largely the same after all these years! haha... exciting. i must go again before they destroy it.

See! White cubes with blue dots!

can see the benches in this photo =]

wheeeee

many many nostalgia. *pout*
