walking through the Mind Forest [fragments]

in the forest of the mind hidden amongst gnarled trunks and fragments of a forgotten past a thought takes flight soaring towards the light shedding darkly stained leaves the cloak of remembrance
when waking hours are shadowed by dreams past and night beings only the recollection of day
when togetherness accentuates suffering yearning dawning futility
if that thought reaches your heart life would not have been in vain

-

why didn't you tell me you were sad? i'd have listened. only that look in your eyes indicated that anything was wrong. and no, don't even think about not wanting to trouble me. trouble is always welcome. don't always think that you have to be the comforter [/blankie].

-

i'm amused to no end that q has been wearing birkies to lab every day ever since i first wore mine to work. for somebody who vehemently exclaimed to me that they will not wear slippers to lab, i suppose this is a great step forward? [but previously i wasn't wearing nice/expensive slippers] ok, i get it, i know you're cool, you have birkies [just like a million other people]... i'm reminded of the levi's incident between q and michelle hahaha...

commander jx took quite a number of lives yesterday.
jointly murdered a little mouse, flattened a number of flies, shot down a multitude of NOD infantry, shieldtox-ed a roach when i got home..

mais ça sent bon

was too sleepy to blog last night.

fête de la francophonie was much fun.
french kids are much cuteness.
i've decided that i won't have kids unless they're french/french homozygotes.
wheee.
the music was very nice, much like what i've heard in france before, not-too-fast party music =] then of course there was the nice beach, wind, sand, moon, fireworks.
Isabelle cut her hair! hmmmm she looked sexier with longer hair hahaha.
saw Nicolas just as the wind picked up and the storm was imminent. we had a little conversation that went something like this --

jx: bonsoir!
N: bonsoir! ça va bien?
jx: oui très bien ça va?
N: ça va. c'est très fort, hein? [refering to the crazy wind]
jx: mais ça sent bon!
N: oui c'est la mer!
jx: ...

amusement.
oh, and jh was very freudian. [but he's been like that for a few days already. wonder what's wrong with him hahaha but so entertaining =p]
anyway, the wind was very nice and strong and exciting and i liked it very much haha. the drizzle was much welcomed after the sweltering day. heh heh. i had much fun. shld do fun things like that more often =]

---

had the first rehearsal for the upcoming concert [9 june] tonight..
the pieces are quite nice-sounding, except for one. haha. hope they change it hahaha. i was quite happy at rehearsal today, maybe because these pieces sound much nicer than the SYF ones we had to play for the YPC [poor kids i wonder what they think of the pieces haha], maybe because i was using a new reed, maybe because i finally have a nice strap =p
witnessed a quarrel after rehearsal. quite scary to see/hear 2 grown-up men yelling at each other. over something quite small i guess. just bad [artiste] moods getting blown up. sigh.
hmmm

what a hot day. feels like i'm having a fever [maybe, huh]. pah.
zzz.
wonder what will happen in lab these two weeks.
cos all the core members are in japan! looking at sakura blooms! *jealous*

what will i be when i grow up?

lalalaaaa~

Sigh, guess some people just can't help sounding patronising, even when they're trying sooo hard to be diplomatic and 'nice' to Everyone. Patronising, condescending, presumptious, totally irritating. Luckily they'll go away soon. And hopefully I won't have to work with them ever again. [though while they're still bothering me I feel rather irritated] Whee.

In other much more pleasant news, the スカパラ [skapara] concert was totally entertaining. ^_^ In addition to 10 crazy hyperactive musicians prancing around on stage, there were equally crazy people in the audience [containing numerous Japanese and green-haired/hatted Caucasians (it was St Pat's Day after all) and Singaporeans who take a long long time to warm up]. That said, I just love the way the horn section [alto + tenor + bari saxes + trombone + trumpet] sounds. Totally yummy sounds. Still can't imagine how the crazy dreadlocked trombone guy [i.e. Masahiko Kitahara] manages to sound nice all the time when he's jumping around and bending over backwards. Haha. Me likes Skapara ^_^

[yes yes I'll transfer the photos/recordings from my phone soon =P]

Hmmm as we grow up we get to make more choices..
BMW or McLaren?
Hahax
I want to live at Draycott8!

me likes the new supreme court building lots.
lots of glass and metal and lawyers hanging around.
like the way justices speak too. funny.
wonder why people bother to commit crimes. it's not very worth it here. and the sentences are so severe. hmmm.
jx has decided to sit in on a few court sessions a year, just to remind herself of how cool it all is. whee =)

ooh jx gg to watch 東京スカパラダイスオーケストラ [tokyo ska paradise orchestra, スカパラ/skapara in short] with po(R)n and RaRa later! so exciting. hope it turns into a new obsession. hee hee.

why i love cats -- reason #107

on my way home just now
i saw a cat crouching by some stairs
staring at snails that came out after the rain.
i decided to go talk to the cat
as i was feeling slightly sorry for myself
for having to go home alone as usual.
so i sat on the steps and
the cat got up and came to sit next to me.
i talked a bit to the cat
it tried to answer me but it didn't have much of a voice
hoarse mew
then it did something i didn't expect
it climbed onto my lap and tried to sit down
it was quite funny cos it's rather hard to balance haha
then it rubbed its head on my tummy and licked my tshirt
=)
but i had to go home so i said bye and put the cat back on the ground

hmm what an understanding cat =)

@#$%

what do i want to be when i grow up?
what a bothersome question.

suddenly the future is rushing at me in more than one direction
wondering which one is right
feels more right
haha

if i'm not careful i can still end up having no future
lala~

terribly confused at the moment
